Taiwan ABF substrate value accounts for over 30% of the global total and its output ranks first globally. However, the critical material for the ABF substrate process, the ABF build-up film, is highly dependent on foreign imports, accounting for 99%. WaferChem technology has successfully broken the monopoly of foreign companies by developing and manufacturing ABF substrate critical materials with its own technology and has become the world's third company with key technology for ABF build-up materials. This accelerates the localization and self-sufficiency of the supply chain.

In recent years, to overcome the predicament of ABF material monopoly by Japanese companies and insufficient production capacity, WaferChem Technology has fully invested in the R&D and self-manufacturing of the semi-conductor critical material, ABF build-up film. It is not only the leading company in Taiwan to invest in ABF build-up film materials but also actively strives for the localization of Taiwan's semi-conductor material supply chain and pushes Taiwan manufacturing (MIT) onto the list of global substrate material supply chains.

WaferChem Technology broke the previous Japanese monopoly of ABF substrate build-up film materials through its self-R&D and self-manufacturing of Taiwan Build-Up Film (TBF). To date, it has developed several major product series: 1) TBF-M Series: low surface roughness & low CTE. 2) TBF-G Series: standard version. 3) TBF-GL Series: low CTE & low Dk/Df, etc. It serves downstream customers through material expertise, formula design, precise coating, and customized development.
